The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) continues to develop and enhance its IT tools to facilitate the registration and management of biocidal products. We present the key updates presented during the 108th Biocidal Products Committee meeting.

Revolutionary Changes in IUCLID
The May IUCLID update brings significant improvements:
Particularly noteworthy is the planned introduction in September 2025 of business rules enabling automatic rejection of incorrect renewal dossiers.
Chesar Platform – Breakthrough in Risk Assessment
Beta testing of the Chesar Platform took place on June 3-4, 2025, with 20 volunteers from industry and competent authorities. The environmental risk assessment tool for biocides offers:

B-risk – Bee Protection in Focus
